PTCA Global Bloodlines Initiative — Bloodlines Without Borders
The PTCA Global Bloodlines Initiative is an international breeding and genetic preservation program established by the Patterdale Terrier Club of America (PTCA). Our mission is to connect breeders around the world with exceptional working Patterdale Terrier genetics, particularly in countries and regions where access to quality breeding stock has historically been limited by geographical barriers, strict import regulations, and transportation challenges.
Operating under the philosophy "Work Is the Standard," our program focuses on preserving, developing, and distributing established working Patterdale Terrier bloodlines, including Mason, Booth, Nuttall, Cocker, and other historically significant working families.
We accomplish this through three primary services:
- International Frozen Semen Distribution: Providing approved breeders access to frozen semen from carefully selected, proven working studs. We coordinate collection, international transportation, and storage in strategic locations worldwide, making valuable genetics more accessible.
- International Breeding Stock: Connecting qualified international breeders with carefully selected male and female Patterdale Terriers from established working kennels. Dogs may be professionally raised, evaluated, trained, and prepared for international export before reaching their new owners.
- Training and Export Preparation: Offering professional training, including crate training, basic obedience, handling, socialization, and specialized training options, alongside coordinated veterinary testing, documentation, and international export logistics.
Our program initially features dogs from One of One Kennels and Black Thorn Kennels, with plans to welcome additional qualified working kennels internationally.
Our exclusive, approval-based members' area will give qualified breeders access to detailed pedigrees, working accomplishments, breeding histories, available frozen semen inventory, pricing, photographs, videos, export readiness, and reservation opportunities.
The PTCA Global Bloodlines Initiative is more than a semen bank or breeding-stock marketplace. It is a worldwide effort to overcome barriers, expand genetic opportunities, preserve exceptional working families, and connect responsible breeders across continents.
